Laurel Canyon Project
20.10 -
In the ten years from June 1965, what began in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon as a musical experiment by folk musicians enthused by the Beatles,
the music of Southern California grew to become the sound of 1970s mainstream American popular music.
Its influence has touched every genre and is still felt today, its artists have become national institutions and household names worldwide.
In celebration of this period of great music, the Laurel Canyon Project presents an informative and entertaining historical journey through that golden age.
